I am Not What I Was

I was saved when I was fifteen years old. It was a very dramatic experience for me and in prayer today the Lord reminded me that it was my Damascus Road. It was on the Road to Damascus that perhaps the greatest Apostle Paul came face to face with the Risen Lord – Jesus Christ! His life was changed forever more as a result.

I realize that my life has had many ups and downs since then. But I know that I am not who I was before my encounter with the Living Christ! I thank God for the chance to live life from His perspective and hope that I never waiste an opportunity to share my experience and the help others experience the same encounter.

John Newton said it best, "I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I wish to be. I am not even what I hope to be. But by the cross of Christ, I am not what I was."
