Oh What a Savior!

One does not have to look very far to realize that mankind is fallen.  The totally depravity of mankind means that we cannot save ourselves but our in need of a Savior.  It also implies that as humans we are fallen in nature and that all of life has been tainted by the effects of sin.

I realize that this does not sit well with everyone.  Some believe that people are good.  I agree that we were created after God’s Own Image and that is a good thing.  But then we fell, that is a bad thing.  The Image of God still exists and we have in us the capacity to follow God’s goodness; but our inherited sin nature is an issue we cannot solve on our own.  That requires us to return to our Creator and to embrace His plan of redeeming us.  That plan requires us to seek salvation through a Savior and that Savior is Jesus Christ.

I pray that everyone that reads my blog realizes their need for Jesus.  Our world is fallen and it appears to be getting worse.  I try to be optimistic.  But the depravity of man is growing to the point to were our culture is becomeing anti-church, anti-bible, anti- God in many ways.  But through it all I realize God is greater for there is “nothing that can seperate us from the love of God.”

We have a Savior who made sure of that…if only we repent of our fallen ways and come to the forgiveness of God and live for Him!  Oh what a Savior.
