WHICH WAY DO I GO?

Please note that this is written not from a political position of supporting any political party, agenda, or candidate. It is simply written from someone who loves God and Country. I love the “Declaration of Independence” and our “Constitution”. This is the best nation ever to exist upon God’s created Earth. I still believe that “We the people” can make a difference. All I ask is that you view history and look at the path we are currently on, look at where the path is taking us and will lead us, and take responsibility as a citizen of this Nation to turn it around. If you disagree with me, that is fine. But at least acknowledge that we have chosen a path that is not based on the America values that have made this nation great. If you like the liberal agenda and believe that is best for our nation please count the cost. I can truly say that my intent is that this article offends no one, but convicts all!!! May we be moved to open our eyes, put aside our blindness, and return to the values that made, no make this nation great.

Most polls show that most Americans believe that our nation is headed in the wrong direction. So what does that mean? Do we blame the economy? Do we blame global warming? Do we blame President Bush? What is the problem exactly? Why do some many Americans, as many as 80%+, believe we are headed in the wrong direction? Could it be we have lost our way and that the change we need is to return to the values that once made this nation great and has sustained us to the point in history? Could be that we are actually headed in the wrong direction and that we are about to face a huge crossroads that gives us an opportunity to change. We can change by continuing on the path we are on that rejects the values that made this nation great or we can change by slowly returning to the values that made this nation great. Either way we have a huge choice!

As for those who believe we are on the wrong path, I am one of them. I too believe our nation is headed in the wrong direction, but not for the reasons many are so easily embracing change without counting the cost. I don’t think we are on the wrong path because of President Bush, the economy, global warming, the war on terror or any other person or thing we want to blame. We are heading the wrong direction because we are not the people we are supposed to be. We are not the nation our forefathers intended us to be as a people. May I even dare to say we are not the nation God established and desire us be and become.

A vast majority of American’s believe the answer lies in politics. They think that politics will save our nation. I already have a Savior. So no politician or political party can ever take His place. They do not have the answers. We are a nation of independence because we were once dependent upon the God of our ‘unalienable rights.’ Even though politics cannot save us they do lead us and they can either lead us in the right direction or they can lead us to our demise. This November there will be an election. Voting for either candidate will be a vote for a change, but what change will it be? Will we vote based on truth, character, stability, morality, values, and a multitude of other things that have made this nation great? Will we surrender to the false God of false change or the God who desires to make us “one Nation under God”? This nation has clearly become more and more liberal in ideology. But I still believe this nation has the values that have made us great. I have not given up on “We the people” or the principles and values that have made us the greatest Nation know to mankind. We can return to the American values that this nation was founded upon, this is the type of change we need as a Nation.

Please understand the politicians will all talk about God and Country, patriotism, family, and values. They will all say “God bless America.” But the ‘proof is in the pudding’ so to speak. What God and Country are they speaking of, what does it mean to be a patriot, what do they mean by family, and what values are they promoting? Our nation was built on the values of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’ Our nation was established on the God who gives us these ‘unalienable rights.’ These are the values that made our nation great and the God we once embraced. Yet we have strayed so far away from this simple truth and we now embrace policies and candidates who actually take us away from the values of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ and we don’t even realize it. The wrong direction that America has gone is that it is on a path that takes us away from the God who gave us our ‘unalienable rights.’ Americans are embracing change that is taking us farther away from being a nation blessed by God. We are not only on the wrong path but are headed to the wrong place. We must go back to the start. We must go back to finding the God who gives us our ‘inalienable rights’. Then we can begin to reclaim this nation. It will take all of us to be willing to die to self so that ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ can prevail for future generations. In America when things get tough we get tougher, but now a days we just get more liberal and blame everyone and everything instead of doing what it takes to make America great again. It will take a nation returning to the very God who has given us our ‘unalienable rights’ so that we may have a ‘future’ and a ‘hope’.

At our current place in time I am uncertain that we can make the changes necessary to return to being the nation we were created to be and become. However, if we do not change the direction we are headed politically, judicially and morally we will all loose out. We will establish a government that answers all of our problems instead of being the government. We will have a government that limits ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’. The decision we make this upcoming presidential election will set the course for our nation in a direction that may never be able to be undone, depending upon the outcome. Even if we choose to try to change course, it may be to late to put on the brakes and do a u-turn. We have strayed so far and now our nation has been accelerated in the direction we are headed over the past two centuries. If we choose to continue to pursue this wrong direction instead of putting on the brakes and trying to turn this Nation around then the ideals, principles, and values that have made America the greatest nation known to civilization will be a thing of the past.

PRAYER: God I believe in you. I believe you founded this great Nation. I believe you have a future for this nation. It has been my honor to serve you and my nation. I have done so with excellence, healthy pride, and great honor. I know our hope is in you alone Lord. You are worthy of all of our praise. Amen.
