This past Sunday God did something I would have never imagined.  Someone died in church giving their testimony.  I have read about this happening, but never imagined it happening.

Charlie Smith joined me to give his testimony.  He was determined to give his testimony he said even if it was with his last dying breath.  Well that is what he did.  Charlie was obedient to His Lord.  He was not going to let anything keep him from telling his story and what Christ had done for him.

The good news is that even though Charlie had no breath or pulse there where heroes of the faith in the congregation that day that knew exactly what to do.  People prayed and a group of about six people went into action to save Charlie.  They did CPR until the EMT’s got on the scene and shocked his heart back into action.

We concluded the service with a call to salvation in Christ and then left in prayer.  When arriving at the hospital all Charlie could tell me was he was sorry for letting me and his Lord down.  Over and over again he was sorry…then we finally sang “What a Friend we have in Jesus.”

Charlie came through just fine.  He understands that he did what God wanted and that God knew this would happen.  Charlie’s story was not finished…but it will be this weekend.  Even though Charlie is a little embarrassed and does not like that he caused a commotion on Sunday, I believe God was glorified.  Lives where changed and I believe this week we will see the evidence, because one man named Charlie was obedient with every breath.

This week people have told me the effect it had on them and almost every person has asked, “When is Charlie going to tell the rest of his story.”  By the way these questions are coming mostly from children and youth…isn’t God awesome!!!!

Trick or Treat

Posted by: Pastor Chris | Comments (0)

Halloween is upon us…what will we do?

I hope we share Jesus.  This is a time to reach out, that is why our church for the 5th year straight is having “Tract” or “Treat”.  We have tracts to pass out at your doors to kids this Halloween and we have a chili supper for those who want to go out into the community and pass out tracts as we “Tract” or “Treat” this year.

Come out and have a Christ shattering experience and we give people the opportunity to have a “Ghostly” experience…the Holy Ghost of course!!!!!
