Judgment House – A Call To Christ!
Posted by: | CommentsWOW – Judgment House was a moving experience. If I was not already a born again Christian I would be after that experience.
The good news is that Broadman Baptist took 50 people to Judgment House this years. We had several salvations, several who are searching, and many who were brought to evaluate their relationship with Jesus Christ.
In Judgment House I was perplexed at the diversity and connection between the trial of Christ and our trial. At Judgment House Jesus was shown judged, beaten, and then in darkness and silence the hammer fell and what we heard we experienced in our heart…we experienced a brief glimmer of the darkness Christ experienced when He took our sins on Himself of the cross. Then we went to the room that demonstrated the reality of Hell and eternity without God. From Christ’ Judgment we were then shown our own potentional judgment. In reality the judgment we all deserve. As we experience the expression of what Hell might be like, there was the wailing and nashing of teeth. People crying out for help. People screming that they were a good person and did not deserve this. And they all cried out at the same time. THe darkness, the emptiness, the screams, the cries, the hurt, the hopelessness was enough to move my heart to desire more and more of Christ in my life.
Judgment House showed all those who attended the reality of a life without God and the consequence of the decision of rejecting Jesus Christ. Hell became a reality for some of these kids for the first time. It may not scar them to salvation, but it opened their eyes to the possibility of all this "Bible" stuff being true. Glory to God…may we experience a revival in the lifes of all those who went.
I thank God for Jesus…the lover, savior and Lord of my Soul!
The Fruit of Ministry – Saved Souls
Posted by: | CommentsGod is simply the best. He is so awesome! I hope you agree! God continues to move in the midst of our congregation. The Fruit of the minsitry is that souls are being saved and lives are being changed. We have fought the good fight as a church. Through the tough times and the good times, we have seen God’s hand move and we have seen His glory as we have glorified Him.
I am so blessed to be a part of a church that bears fruit for Christ. I am so blessed to be a Pastor who has the honor to lead believers who want to make a difference for Christ, want to make a stand, and want to do what is right. I am so blessed to have a congregation that is unified in the Word of God and Exalts Christ.
This weekend we will baptize another 7 believers into Christ. Each of them come from varying backgrounds. Each of them have a precious story to tell about how Jesus saved their soul and now is transforming their lives.
They say the proof is in the pudding…you discern the validity of a ministry by the fruit…and you will know who are disciples of Christ by their love for one another.
Praise God and all Glory to Him for the Harvest!
When Savannah Smiles
Posted by: | CommentsHave you ever wondered how much different things would be if a smile could change the world? Well I have discovered that a smile can change our world. I have discovered that a little baby can melt a grown man’s heart. And I have found that when Savannah smiles at me, she changes my world and makes me forget about all of lifes questions and all the burdens.
Thank you Savannah and welcome to this world. Know that your Daddy loves you with all of his heart. May all of your days be filled with joy and laughter, may your cup always overflow and when the storms come may your learn to anchor down in Christ and all will go well!
I love you and your smile has changed my life!
Think about it…my baby has such a profound impact on me. All of us know that Children change our lives. We can all relate to this concept. ANd if we ponder the impact of a smile from a child, we have to consider the child born in Bethlehem. How has He impacted our lives? After all if Savannah can change my life, imagine what the creator of life can do? Imagine your life with the God of the universe that loved us enought to come a dwell among us and smile at us! Jesus you make me smile and you give my life purpose. Thank you for loving us enough to be born in the little town of bethlehem on a silent night.
I love you and your presence has changed my life!
