AMAZING WONDERS AVIATION is the theme for VBS 2012. Come join us for some amazing adventures as we fly closer to God than ever before! We are sure to see hearts soar as we tour some of the world’s most wonderful natural wonders and learn to trust God and recognize His amazing wonders and awesome power in life!

AMAZING WONDERS AVIATION has your ticket. So plan on taking off with us at Broadman July 15-20, 2012, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Kids will explore Psalm 147:5 and come to recognize God’s amazing power, learn to trust Him as the pilot of their lives, realize God is in control and accept God’s gift of life. Jesus is alive and we can rely upon Him in all of life.

2011 ———————————————————————-

What a wonderful time spent in VBS again this year! As the kids explored the Big Apple, they learned how to step out in faith and connect with Jesus–sharing the message of Christ with their world! They learned the theme verse: So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Jesus Christ — Romans 10:17 (HCSB). And, they learned to apply the VBS Motto: Hear it! Believe it! Connect it!

We topped out at 138 learners one night and an average of 124 each night along with an average of 68 volunteers each night making our way through worship at Times Square, Bible study in Battery Park, Recreation at Playground 1017, Missions Central, Crafts District, Midtown Snacks and Music Backstage! What an awesome experience for everyone who participated in VBS this year at Broadman Baptist Church!

God’s glory shown all around as we had 12 decisions for Christ, some of which were baptized at the Family Fun Night picnic in the kiddie pool and others who were baptized Sunday morning during the VBS Celebration service. Even one parent, whose children have been attending BBC VBS for years, accepted Christ as her Savior and followed through with baptism. We had a record-attendance on VBS Sunday with 304 in attendance. Praise God for all of these victories!!!!! Still other learners are asking questions and opening their hearts to what God wants them to do, from the very young all the way to the youth group! We have much work yet to do! We can’t wait to see what God still has in store for us as we continue VBS studies over the next several weeks during Sunday school.

Now, to all those who contributed to the success of The Big Apple Adventure VBS 2011, from months ago to the parade to VBS week to Family Fun Night, and to those who worked behind the scenes baking, coloring, gluing, building, decorating, cleaning, babysitting, praying, calling, making signs, passing out flyers, driving, walking, biking and so many other tasks too numerous to list here — many, many thanks! It is obvious that God has blessed your efforts in a mighty way! Let’s keep the Word our focus as we continue with VBS studies in the coming weeks and carry what we’ve learned with us as we share the message of Christ with the world! Hear it! Believe it! 2010 ———————————————————————-

S A D D L E R I D G E R A N C H

Another VBS has come and gone (July 18-23, 2010) — but
the effects have not. Thanks to all of you who gave your heart
and soul for Jesus this week. As exhaustion is in full swing
may we keep in mind that we are in the business of creating an
experience to impact lives with the Gospel. This past
week you made a difference, you impacted lives, and
influenced young minds by sharing God’s love whether
through singing songs, preparing snacks, teaching lessons,
registering people, playing games, being on mission,
creating crafts or even making us feel secure — we
were all a part of God’s plan to change the world one
life at a time.
Never forget that at Saddle Ridge Ranch we all learned
how to be gunslingers. May we take what we learned
this week and apply it to our lives in the Midwest. Always
be ready to have your 66-shooter loaded and
ready to draw. You can be a Quick Draw for Christ
too!
I cannot begin to say thanks to everyone by name. But
know this, I am personally proud of you and I believe
God is smiling down on us and saying to each of us
“Good job my good and faithful servant.”

VBS 2009 – We traveled to the LAND DOWNUNDER on a Boomerang Express to Australia. The Express training pointed us to Jesus as we bounced like a Kangaroo across Australia. We discovered the vastness of God’s love in knowing that “God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His one and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.” — 1 John 4:9 …. Praise Jesus, the Christ! Seven VBS students accepted Him as their personal Savior! On Friday night Connor Cook, Curtis Cook and Jayron Fulton were baptized.

Broadman Baptist Church has been recognized by LifeWay ( http://www.lifeway.com ) as being one of the most effective VBS ministries in America. Broadman’s VBS was in the top 100 churches in America among churches who have 100 or fewer in Sunday School on average for the year 2007. We are most humbled and honored — as we all should be for the Glory of God. Beyond 2007 is the fact that 2008 was the biggest and best VBS we have ever had at Broadman.
