Mission  Opportunities

Broadman sets aside funding for missions directly out of the budget. Our mission allocation is provided ACTS 1:8. Therefore, we have local mission/outreach allocations and then go global. Broadman has local outreach/missions allocations for literature, public relations, community events like the 4th of July Parade, The Community Expo Center, Chamber of Commerce luncheons, Vacation Bible School and more.

….We give to the SUMMIT BAPTIST ASSOCIATION to support local mission efforts and church plants.  From the Summit Baptist Association website:

….We also give to the SOUTHERN BAPTIST COOPERATIVE PROGRAM to support mission efforts in NORTH AMERICA (NAMB) and INTERNATIONALLY (IMB).

….We support the work of the SOUTHERN BAPTIST WORLD HUNGER FUND.

….……A food pantry ( Benevolence Closet ) for the needy

….……Delivering fruit baskets for church shut-ins and people in need (Thanksgiving and Christmas, and as needed)

….…… …..Supporting the Haven of Rest in Akron, Ohio with offerings and materials

….……We reach out to students at Akron University and Kent State University, and have adopted the KSU Flashes football team for special emphasis.

….……Deacon Benevolence, a monthly offering collection to help needy of our church family and community
