LIFE STYLE DISCIPLESHIP

Christ called His disciples to “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” He also said if we are to be His disciple “We must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.” Being a disciple is about living for Jesus. We ultimately want to live a life so close to Jesus that people see Jesus in us.

Learning to be a Disciple of Jesus isn’t easy; it does not happen by accident. We must be intentional in our actions. Discipleship is a discipline in life. ABOUT OUR DISCIPLESHIP DIRECTOR

Dr. Rick Mangrum currently serves as our Discipleship Minister and as one of the Associate Pastors. He oversees all the discipleship/education aspects of our church. He currently also oversees the Children’s Ministry and Nursery Ministry and leads the Truth Seekers Sunday School class. Rick is a Bi-vocational Pastor and serves as a Professor in the Aeronautics Division at Kent State. Rick is an Ordained Pastor at Broadman. Read Rick’s TESTIMONY.

ACCESS DISCIPLESHIP PROCESS

Broadman trains people to be disciples through the following areas.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Discipleship opportunities take place through Life Impact Groups for all ages. This is similar to a traditional Sunday School, but the goal is to impact your life. We have a variety of classes, age groups, and styles of teaching. Come discover what Life Impact is all about at 9:45 Sunday Mornings.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Wednesday at Broadman (WB) is a key component to spiritual growth. Wednesdays provide an opportunity for detailed discipleship training by focusing on disciplines of the faith. Discipleship training is provided for Kids through KIDZ PRAIZ – where kids learn to praise God through study, music, drama and games. Discipleship training is provided for Youth through THE ZONE – where youth grades 6 – 12 learn about real life issues in a group and then breakout into their zones with small group teaching. There are also mission opportunities once every other month and as well as the RED ZONE in which the youth just have fun, games and fellowship. Discipleship training for ADULTS is for all adults college age on up. We have prayer time followed by a teaching on a Spiritual Discipline which is aimed toward application. Teachers rotate, with Pastor Chris and Rick Mangrum being the primary teachers.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Broadman provides discipleship opportunities through spiritually rewarding and enriching conferences and retreats. It is our aim to offer these discipleship opportunities for kids, youth, adults, families, marriages, men and women. Access the DISCIPLESHIP PROCESS.
