STATEMENT OF CALL————————————————————
As a child, there was never a time when I did not hear the name of Jesus. Both of my parents have been followers of Jesus since before I was born. I attended a Southern Baptist Church from birth until the time I graduated high school. My parents were very active in creating a faithful household, and even though I believed in Jesus and the Bible, I never put my faith and trust in Christ. I spent my youth thinking that I was a Christian despite the fact I had never put my faith in Messiah Jesus. I left home after graduation for college at Appalachian State University. I ran from God but God stopped me in my tracks at the end of my sophomore year. I had heard the Gospel all my life but never responded to it. God softened my heart and spoke to me and I immediately stopped running and surrendered my life to Him. I knew shortly thereafter He had called me into His service as a minister. God has given me a passion for collegiate ministry because of my dramatic experience running from God and the grace He showed me through my conversion. Because of my experience, I am passionate about developing relationships with college students, sharing the Gospel with them and helping them grow into mature disciples and ministers.
